Microsoft claims that IE9 is the fastest browser around based on their HTML5 tests but Mozilla disagrees with the assessment. They say that the conducted tests were the same tests used to design and develop the IE9. That means the browser will score high on those tests, just as the Firefox 4 will score high on Mozilla’s tests. On real world tests conducted by Caniuse.com, Firefox 4 got 84 percent compatibility with all web standards while IE9 only managed to get 61 percent. HTML5test.com has Firefox 4 at 255 compared to IE9’s 130 points. Google’s Chrome is way ahead of the pack with a score of 283 for the stable version and 293 for the beta. |
